The process started a little over a year ago when they bought the barn and John Ming a local builder who specializes in creating these type of post and beam structures took it down and documented the process so that it could be reconstructed at the cabin.
The wood sat through the winter covered by tarps and this summer mom and dad pulled it out to dry. Ervin Miller has reassembled the pieces into the structure that you see in the images on this page. Congratulations Ervin! and thank you.
Lastly, the foundation was created from stones that were in part taken from the remains of an old house that burned down many years ago on the property.
